The Go-Anywhere Mobile Package

The Cosmodome system includes all the equipment you need to set up a Planetarium or Theatre, whether it is fixed or mobile, large or smaller. The total equipment can be fitted within small vehicles for travelling operations (see photographs).

Software Programs

Now that the main astronomy programs are available at no cost direct from the Web, the Swinburne package is no longer needed or available. See here for software downloads.

Computers and Projectors

For reasons of cost-saving, warranty, and service, we recommend that clients obtain their needs from local sources. We are always ready to offer advice on types and brand advantages.

Mirror and Projector Stand

We recommend the single projector with mirror system. Constructed from durable lightweight aluminum, the Mirage stand folds to a compact unit that protects the mirror in transit, yet is assembled in a flash! The Mirage uses patented versatile mounting towers for both mirror and projector, and adjustment is multi-directional. This mean it can be adapted for a wide range of projectors, of different sizes or left, central, or right lens positions. The mirror system has rigid construction to avoid image shake, and provides ample ventilation for any chosen projector.

Inflatable Domes

We offer a wide range of domes for various activity, and in sizes from 5 meters to 9 metres diameter. These are designed for wrinkle-free inner surface for ideal projection, safety, and easy access, even for wheelchairs. The 5-metre holds about 30 children, so can take one full class plus their own teacher. We also offer a fire test certificate for the domes. See here for more on domes. We are worldwide distributors for many well known producers, and supply movies to assist with many different school curriculum subjects. See here for our movie library listings. We can also offer advice should customers decide to make their own in-house movies.

Staffing

Generally, experience shows that only one person is required for a mobile system. The equipment is easily handled, and is readily mobile. Set-up time is around 30 minutes after arrival at a visited venue. Where operation are in public areas, such as shopping malls, it is advisable to have a second person for crowd supervision and security. Please contact us for further advice.
